HeerOh ('we,' 'our,' 'us') provides live speech captioning in the HeerOh mobile app.

1. Information We Process

We process the following categories of data to operate the app:

• Account identifiers: When you sign in with Google, we receive account identity data (such as Google user ID and email) for authentication.
• Audio input: Microphone audio is transmitted to our backend to generate captions.
• Transcript text: Speech is converted into caption text for live display.
• Operational logs: Service logs may include technical metadata and identifiers needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How We Use Data

We use data to:

• authenticate access to the app,
• generate and deliver live captions,
• maintain service reliability and security,
• troubleshoot failures and abuse.

We do not use your data for analytics-based profiling or advertising.

3. Retention

• Raw audio: Not retained after real-time processing.
• Transcript text: Processed temporarily to provide live captioning and not retained beyond operational needs.
• Identifiers/log data: May be retained in operational logs for security, debugging, and service integrity.

4. Data Sharing

We may use service providers (for cloud hosting, authentication, and speech processing) strictly to operate HeerOh.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS). Authentication tokens are stored using platform security mechanisms (such as iOS Keychain).

6. Your Choices

• You can stop microphone capture at any time by stopping transcription in the app.
• You can revoke app access to your microphone in iOS Settings.
• You can sign out of your account in the app.

7. Children

HeerOh is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective date when changes are made.
